〜と言います/〜とも言います N5
is called ~ / is also called ~
叫做……/也叫做……
noun + と言います(とも言います = is also called)
「十五夜」とも言います。
It is also called the fifteenth night.
と marks a name or quote. 〜と言います means "is called ~". Adding も makes it "is ALSO called ~" — useful when something has two names.
「と」表示名称或引用。「〜と言います」="叫做……"。加上「も」变成"也叫做……",用于一个东西有两个名字的时候。
〜のは…です N5
doing ~ is …
……这件事是……
verb plain form + のは + adjective/noun + です
名月と満月の日が2日ずれるのは、めずらしいです。
It is rare for the harvest moon and the full moon to be two days apart.
の turns the whole verb phrase into a noun, so you can describe it: 〜ずれるのは、めずらしいです = "the fact that they differ is rare".
「の」把前面的动词短语变成名词,然后加以描述:「〜ずれるのは、めずらしいです」="(日期)错开这件事很少见"。
〜てみませんか N4
why not try ~?
要不要试试……?
verb te-form + みませんか
今日の夜も、空を見てみませんか。
Tonight, why not look up at the sky, too?
てみる means "try doing". The negative question ませんか makes a soft invitation: 見てみませんか = "won't you try looking?"
「てみる」表示"试着做"。否定疑问「ませんか」是委婉的邀请:「見てみませんか」="要不要看一看?"
